Richard FitzGerald — Chief Executive
Richard was appointed Chief Executive of RMG in September 2008. Prior to this he was the CEO of Aston Villa FC. Richard worked for 18 years in various senior roles at IMG, the sports, entertainment and media conglomerate. They included Director and member of the senior management team of TWI, the world’s largest independent producer and distributor of sports TV programmes. He also sat on a number of joint venture boards including European Tour Productions, Manchester United interactive and SNTV. He is a Chartered Accountant by background having qualified with Deloitte Haskin & Sells.
David Bellin – Director of Broadcast and PR
David Bellin, MBA, spent 16 years with HTV in Wales, Thames TV in London and other European and US news networks as a television reporter, political and financial correspondent, producer and then programme editor before moving into management. Through 2002/3 he worked in the Balkans and Ukraine on the commercial development of independent television companies supported by the United States Agency for International Development and the Soros Foundation/Open Society Institute as part of their democracy building initiatives. David represented venture capital company 3i plc on the Board of a London facilities company prior to a successful MBO in 2004 and was an external media advisor to 3i in the UK and Asia.

Martin Stevenson – Finance Director
Martin is a qualified accountant (FCCA). He was previously group financial controller of Trinity Mirror plc and before that had a number of senior roles within the group including finance director and deputy managing director of the Trinity Mirror Sports Division which included The Racing Post. He joined the Newspaper Licensing Agency, which is owned by the UK newspaper groups and responsible for licensing press cutting reproduction, in 2004 as finance director and was appointed managing director in 2005. In 2007 Martin returned to the horse racing world as the Finance Director of RMG.
Nick Mills – Commercial Director
Nick Mills has worked in senior marketing roles for 15 years. Originally from a direct marketing background, Nick joined Coral bookmakers in January 1998 and worked there as marketing director until March 2005. Nick left Coral to work for Racing UK as commercial director in March 2005 and is responsible for the Sales and Marketing functions within RMG.
Simon Brydon – Director of Business Development
Simon Brydon is an MA History (Hons) Graduate of Edinburgh University. In 2003 he was the founder and Managing Director of Cycling TV, an internet only specialist broadcaster of professional cycling. In four years Simon built Cycling TV into the out and out market leader in online niche sports internet TV. In August 2007 Cycling TV was sold to Jump TV in Canada and Simon was appointed President & CEO. In June 2008 Simon joined Racing UK as the Head of Online & Mobile. He is now the Director of Business Development and is reponsisble for the Online and Mobile the buisness along with other commercial aspects of the business including International TV sales.
Clodagh Curran - Director of Business and Legal Affairs
Clodagh Curran is a solicitor qualified to practice in England & Wales and the Republic of Ireland. After training at Clifford Chance and working for Shearman & Sterling for 5 years in London, Singapore, Hong Kong and New York, she obtained an MBA from Liverpool University in 2005. During that time she interned at NIKE’s European headquarters’ legal department. Clodagh joined Racing UK in 2006, is the company secretary and is responsible for managing all aspects of the Racing UK group’s legal function.
Clive Cottrell – Director of Marketing
Clive was appointed Director of Marketing for Racing UK in February 2011, having spent the preceding 9 months consulting for the Commercial side of the business. Clive joined from the Betting and Gaming sector having performed senior marketing roles since 2003 at both Gala Coral and Party Gaming. In the early part of his career he developed his marketing skills within the Financial Services and Mail Order sectors.
Ed Gretton – Racing Director
Ed was appointed Racing Director at RMG in September 2011. Previously, Ed was Clerk of the Course at Chester and Bangor-on-Dee since 2004 and before that worked at Market Rasen and Nottingham. A former graduate trainee at the BHB, he also worked as a pupil/assistant trainer for Ian Williams in the UK and Etienne Leenders in France, between study periods. He rode three winners from 60 rides as an amateur jump jockey in point to points. He holds an MBA from the University of Chester and a BA in French and Russian from Bristol University.
