Racing UK Limited was successfully launched as a subscription channel in 2004 and now numbers 37 racecourses as shareholders. With most of the major courses, Racing UK is assured the finest Flat and National Hunt racing that the sport can offer. As Racing UK grew, several other business units and joint ventures were developed.
In order to reflect the growing and maturing business, Racecourse Media Group (RMG) has become the parent company with Racing UK as the principal customer-facing business unit. Racing UK is best-known for its subscription TV channel broadcasting on Sky, Virgin and Freeview and offers “Pure Racing Entertainment” all year round to nearly 50,000 residential subscriptions. The channel can also choose to broadcast free to air for certain events to a potential audience of some 12 million homes. In addition, nearly 4,000 pubs and clubs in the UK and Ireland subscribe to Racing UK.
